Overview

Known as the Sacred Island, Sri Lanka is a place where wildlife, culture and landscape exist in rare harmony. Over 14 carefully designed days, we explore the island at a thoughtful pace, balancing its celebrated highlights with experiences that feel personal and unhurried.

We visit the extraordinary rock fortress of Sigiriya at first light, wander the ancient cities of Anuradhapura and Polonnaruwa, and step inside the cave temples of Dambulla. In Kandy and Galle, layers of history unfold gently, shaped by centuries of influence yet distinctly Sri Lankan.

Wildlife encounters are equally immersive. We venture into Wilpattu and Maduru Oya National Parks in search of leopard, elephant and rich birdlife, guided by experts who understand the rhythms of these landscapes. Safaris are unhurried, allowing time to observe rather than simply tick off sightings.

Beyond the landmarks, we are welcomed into local homes for a Sri Lankan cooking experience, spend time with the Vedda community in Dambana, and gain insight into Buddhist traditions through conversation. In the hill country, we walk through the quiet beauty of Horton Plains to World’s End, explore hidden villages in the Knuckles Forest Reserve, and linger among the rolling tea estates before unwinding along the southern coast.

This is Sri Lanka explored with depth, care and considered detail.
